Texting and Privacy Policy
Certain tax-only members of the Advanced Financial Services team utilize a texting service through Microsoft to communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping and tax matters.

Advanced Financial Services Text Messaging Terms of Use
By "Opting In" to or using a Text Message Service (as defined below) from Advanced Financial Services, you accept these Terms & Conditions. This agreement is between you and Advanced Financial Services or one of its affiliates. All references to "Advanced Financial Services," "we," "our," or "us" refer to Advanced Financial Services, located at 320 Fayette St., Manlius, NY 13104.

1. Definitions
"Opt-In" refers to requesting, joining, agreeing to, enrolling in, signing up for, acknowledging, responding to, or otherwise consenting to receive one or more text messages.
"Text Message Service" includes any arrangement in which we send messages addressed to your mobile phone number, including text messages (such as SMS, MMS, or successor protocols/technologies).
2. Consenting to Text Messaging
By consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Text Messaging Terms and Conditions, as well as our General Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.

3. E-Sign Disclosure
By agreeing to receive text messages, you also consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw your consent to the use of the electronic record at any time by replying STOP.

4. Advanced Financial Services Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. We only use information you provide through this service to transmit your mobile messages and respond to your inquiries. This includes sharing information with platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of mobile messages.

No Third-Party Sharing: Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Opt-In Data: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Legal Compliance: Nonetheless, we reserve the right to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights and property.
5. Costs of Text Messages
Advanced Financial Services does not charge you for the messages you send or receive via this service. However, message and data rates may apply. Depending on your plan with your wireless provider, you may be charged by your carrier.

6. Frequency of Text Messages
This service is intended for conversational, person-to-person communication between you and our employees. We may send an initial message providing details about the service. Thereafter, the frequency of messages will vary depending on your specific service needs and your engagement with our team.

7. Opting Out
If you no longer wish to receive text messages, you may reply to any message with STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE. Because this is a person-to-person service, opt-out requests are specific to each conversation thread. After unsubscribing, you may receive one final text message confirming your opt-out.

Binding Arbitration & Class Action Waiver
Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating in any way to your use of the Advanced Financial Services Text Message Service will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court. You and Advanced Financial Services each waive any right to a jury trial and agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
